Biography

Linglong Dai (M’11-SM’14-F’22) received the B.S. degree from Zhejiang University in 2003, the M.S. degree (with the highest honor) from the China Academy of Telecommunications Technology (CATT) in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree (with the highest honor) from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, where he has been an Assistant Professor from 2013 to 2016, an Associate Professor from 2016 to 2022, and a Professor since 2022. His research area is transmission theory and technology for wireless communications, with the research topics including massive MIMO, reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS), millimeter-wave and terahertz communications, machine learning for wireless communications, and electromagnetic information theory (EIT).

He has published over 90 IEEE journal papers and over 60 IEEE conference papers. He also holds 21 granted patents. He co-authored the book “mmWave Massive MIMO: A Paradigm for 5G” (Academic Press, Elsevier, 2016). Dr. Dai has received 5 IEEE conference Best Paper Awards. He has also received the Tsinghua University Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate Award in 2011, the Beijing Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2012, the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award in 2013, the URSI Young Scientist Award in 2014, the IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting Best Paper Award in 2015, the Second Prize of Science and Technology Award of China Institute of Communications in 2016, the Electronics Letters Best Paper Award in 2016, the IEEE Communications Letters Exemplary Editor Award in 2017, the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Outstanding Young Scholars in 2017, the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2017, the 7th IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Paper Award in 2018, the China Communications Best Paper Award in 2019, the IEEE Access Best Multimedia Award in 2020, the China Communications Best Editor Award in 2020 and 2021, the IEEE ComSoc Leonard G. Abraham Prize in 2020, the IEEE ComSoc Stephen O. Rice Prize in 2022, the IEEE ICC Outstanding Demo Award in 2022, and the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2023. He was listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate from 2020 to 2022. He was elevated as an IEEE Fellow in 2022.

He has received the First Prize of the 11th Beijing Municipal Young College Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition in 2019, and the First Prize of the 6th National Young College Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition in 2023. The first Ph.D. student under his supervision has received the 2018 Tsinghua University Grand Scholarship (the highest award for Tsinghua students), the second Ph.D. student has received the 2019 Paul Baran Young Scholar (the only one student from mainland China up to now), and the first Master student has received the Chinese Institute of Electronics Excellent Master Thesis Award. He has also guided three undergraduate students to win the National Grand Award of the 16th “Challenge Cup” Technological Innovation Competition (the highest award), and three undergraduate students to receive the Tsinghua University Grand Scholarship in 2014, 2016, and 2021, respectively.

He is a Co-Chair of the Information Service Committee, IEEE ComSoc Asia Pacific Board, a Co-Chair of the IEEE Special Interest Group (SIG) on Signal Processing Techniques in 5G Communication Systems. He has served as the Secretary of the IEEE ComSoc Asia Pacific Board (2020-2021). He is currently serving as an Area Editor of the IEEE Communications Letters, and an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. He has also served as an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Communications (2017-2021), an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (2016-2020), and an Editor of the IEEE Communications Letters (2016-2020). He has also served as a Guest Editor of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, IEEE Wireless Communications, etc.

个人简介

戴凌龙,男,重庆人,中共党员,现为清华大学电子工程系长聘教授、博士生导师,国家杰青、优青,IEEE Fellow。先后于2003年、2006年、2011年在浙江大学信息与电子工程学系、电信科学技术研究院、清华大学电子工程系获工学学士、硕士、博士学位。2011年至2013年在清华大学电子工程系做博士后,2013年7月起留校任教,任助理教授,2016年6月晋升为准聘副教授,2019年2月晋升为长聘副教授,2022年12月晋升为长聘教授。研究方向为无线通信传输理论与技术,目前的研究重点包括大规模MIMO、智能超表面(RIS)、毫米波/太赫兹通信、基于人工智能的无线通信、电磁信息论等。

先后作为项目负责人主持国家重点研发计划重点项目课题、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家国际科技合作专项,以及华为、中兴、大唐、中国移动、英国电信等国内外多家知名通信企业的合作研究项目二十余项,作为技术骨干参与国家973计划、国家863项目、国家科技重大专项等项目多项,在多载波技术、多天线技术、多址接入技术等方面积累了较为丰富的科研经验。目前指导博士后3名、博士生8名(含工程博士1名)、硕士生3名。讲授本科生课程《数据与算法》、《通信信号处理》及研究生课程《高等通信信号处理》。

目前共发表SCI收录IEEE系列期刊论文80余篇,已获国家发明专利授权20余项。出版英文著作(mmWave Massive MIMO: A Paradigm for 5G)及中文译著《压缩感知理论及其在无线网络中的应用》。

曾获2019年北京高校第十一届青年教师教学基本功比赛一等奖、2023年第六届全国高等学校电子信息类专业青年授课教师竞赛一等奖。独立指导的第一位博士生获2018年清华大学特等奖学金(清华在校生最高荣誉),是清华首位华为天才少年入选者,第二位博士生获2019年马可尼青年学者奖(全球每年评选3-4人,目前中国大陆在校生唯一),第一位硕士生获2019年中国电子学会优秀硕士学位论文奖。指导三名本科生获2019年第16届“挑战杯”全国大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛特等奖,三名本科生分别获2014、2016、2021年清华大学特等奖学金。

目前担任国际核心期刊IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications编委(2023-)。曾担任IEEE Communications Letters领域编委(2020-2023)、IEEE Transactions on Communications编委(2017-2021)、IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology编委(2016-2020)、IEEE Communications Letters编委(2016-2020)、IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing大规模MIMO专刊客座编委、IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications毫米波通信专刊客座编委、IEEE Wireless Communications非正交多址接入专刊客座主编。此外,目前还担任IEEE通信学会亚太信息服务委员会共同主席、IEEE通信学会5G信号处理技术特别小组共同主席。
